It's Time to Recognize!!!

Do you remember the feeling when someone publicly recognized you for doing a great job?  Share that feeling, and you might be able to change a life. This may sound a bit dramatic, but let me explain.

In 1996, the Assistant Vice President at Fort Hays State University, Dr. Lisa Erwin, took the time to write a letter of nomination for a graduate student for a NASPA Rising Star Award.  While attending the conference in Hot Springs, AR, he had the chance to meet Dr. Marilee Bresciani, who would later play a role in his life presenting at the Regional IV-West Conference.  He also happened to visit with Dr. Matt Aschenbrener, who at that time was recruiting for student housing positions at KU.  That friendship turned into an application at KU, and continued involvement in NASPA.  So, for all of my statisticians out there, this is not a direct cause and effect, but I believe it was Lisa’s letter that has brought me to be your RVP at this time. (Thanks, Lisa!)

It is time for you to make the NASPA experience become a reality for someone else.  Dr. Tisa Mason, Chair for Awards and Exemplary Programs for Region IV-West, has begun the call for nominations for the Region IV-West Awards

Awards nominations are due July  31, 2010, and the winners will be recognized at the Regional Conference in Omaha November 3-5.
